Charles and Ray Eames created the classic Lounge chair in 1956. Their aim was to create the perfect English Club chair and the Lounge chair achieves this with superb comfort using only high-end materials and high-quality finishing. Originally manufactured by Herman Miller, Vitra now have the right to manufacturer every Lounge chair to the Eames's exact original specification.

This version of the classic Lounge chair new for 2008 is offered with White Leather upholstery, polished aluminum framework and White pigmented Walnut veneer. Charles and Ray Eames did produce an early prototype using light coloured upholstery.

This interpretation was worked on by Hella Jongerius and the Eames Office to harmonize perfectly with light coloured interiors. The Ottoman provides yet another level of comfort included in this sale.
