History of Cassina

The famous designer company Cassina came to life in 1927, Italy, by the Cassina brothers. Cesare and Umberto Cassina continued their goal despite the devistation of world war 1 and expanded in size and fame due to the pure quality of its products, covering a long range of furniture including: chairs, armchairs, sofas, tables and beds.

The company was commissioned for cruise ships, top end hotels and restaurants which boosted and accounted for a great part of the company's activity right up to the 1960's and further.

In 1964, Cassina released the Cassina Masters Collection, with the rights to products designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, some of the most important figures of 20th century design, including some of the more notibly popular LC1 armchair, LC2 armchair, LC3 armchair and the LC4 chaise longue. Cassina is exclusively licensed to Le Corbusier designs.

Pink Apple have recently introduced the Tabouret Berger and Tabouret Meribel stools to our Cassina UK collection. These beautiful pieces have been re-released by Cassina from the Cassina archives. They are available in a range of solid wood finishes.

The famous Cab Chair is another popular choice and was designed by Mario Bellini in 1977 for  Cassina. This is a comfortable and durable chair and is available in a range of leather colours.
