Description
The Knoll Wassily chair designed in 1925 is featured in the Museum of Modern art New York (1968) and was recognised as a "Work of art" in Germany 1982. The Wassily chairs construction represents one of the major milestones in furniture design.
The skeletal frame and slings are a dramatic contrast to the over stuffed sofas and armchairs of it's time. The use of seamless tubular steel construction in the 1920s made this cutting edge. The quality of the metal finishing and belting straps sets this Knoll Studio Authentic piece apart from lesser models.
Each Knoll Wassily lounge chair is stamped with Marcel Breuer's signature and the Knoll Studio logo as well as a unqiue production number of identification and authenticity.
Wassily chair is available in 15 stunning Spinneybeck Belting leather colours. These beautiful and vibrant colours give the Wassily armchair 21st Century appeal. Haired hide upholstery also available. New for 2009.
Knoll has gained trademark protection for the 50LC Wassily chair in several countries.
